I’m Brenda-Gail Taylor, a writer, educator, and community storyteller.
I write about people, family, caregiving, work, faith, community, and the seasons of life that change us. I’m especially drawn to the stories that are easy to overlook—the quiet transitions, complicated relationships, meaningful work, and everyday experiences that shape who we become.
My background is in journalism, education, and technical writing, but the kind of writing that has always stayed closest to me is human-centered storytelling. I enjoy listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and helping people put words around experiences that matter.
This site is my creative home—a place to write more freely, revisit some of the stories I’ve told over the years, and explore the season of life I’m in now. Some pieces will be personal. Some will focus on community. Some may begin with a conversation, an interview, or a question I can’t stop thinking about.
At the heart of it, I’m interested in people: how we grow, care for one another, navigate change, find meaning, and tell the stories of our lives.
If you’re here to read, I’m glad you found your way here.
And if you have a story, organization, or community project that could benefit from thoughtful, human-centered writing, you can visit my Work With Me page.
